19 Nassim Swimming Lessons for Kids and Adults
19 Nassim is a completed residential development at 19 Nassim Hill. URA records 101 units completed in the fourth quarter of 2023 under Parksville Development Pte Ltd.
Keppel's current project page and site plan identify a Lap Pool and Kids' Pool at the lobby level. They separately place a Relaxation Pool and Heated Jet Pool at the level-10 club level. No pool length is published.
These facilities have different purposes and should not be treated as interchangeable. Conventional lessons should use only a management-approved pool assessed for the learner, while relaxation and heated-jet settings should remain leisure areas.
Quick answer
Residents may enquire about private or small-group lessons for children, adults, ladies, beginners and water-confident swimmers. The Lap Pool is the clearest option for conventional instruction, subject to current estate rules and completed pool conditions.
The Kids' Pool may support selected introductory activities after its depth and layout are assessed. The club-level Relaxation Pool and Heated Jet Pool should not be default teaching locations.
Not the same as The Nassim
19 Nassim and The Nassim are separate developments at Nassim Hill. This page covers Keppel's 101-unit project at 19 Nassim Hill, completed in 2023.
The Nassim is a different CapitaLand development with its own page, evidence and access requirements. Residents should state the exact estate name and address when enquiring so the instructor approaches the correct security entrance.
Understanding the pool facilities
Lap Pool
Keppel's official site plan labels a Lap Pool at lobby level. It may support water confidence, breathing work, stroke development, turns and fitness repeats when an approved section is available.
The source does not state its length, depth, lane markings or competition certification. An instructor should inspect the completed pool before planning distance-based work.
Kids' Pool
The Kids' Pool is identified separately from the Lap Pool. It may suit water familiarisation, supported floating or short beginner movements for a learner whose height and confidence match the completed depth.
Its name does not prove that it is shallow throughout or suitable for every child. Close supervision and current depth signs remain essential.
Relaxation Pool
Keppel describes a Relaxation Pool at the club level. Seating, depth, edge design or leisure traffic may reduce the clear space needed for swimming instruction.
It should not be used as a substitute lesson pool merely because the Lap Pool is occupied. Specific permission and on-site assessment would be required.
Heated Jet Pool
Warm water, jets and seating are generally intended for relaxation. Water movement can interfere with balance, breathing and communication.
The Heated Jet Pool should not be promoted for standard beginner, stroke or fitness lessons.
Lesson options
Kids swimming lessons
Children's lessons can develop safe entry and exit, breath control, floating, kicking, recovery skills and age-appropriate stroke foundations. The coach should choose an approved area based on height, confidence and experience.
Parents should share the child's age and relevant medical, sensory or communication needs. Young children require active supervision. Progress varies, so no fixed lesson count should be guaranteed.
Adult beginner lessons
Adult beginners may work gradually on breathing, balance, floating, recovery to standing and short movements before combining complete strokes. Private instruction can provide individual pacing and focused feedback.
Tell the instructor about injuries, exercise restrictions or difficult experiences in water. Obtain appropriate professional advice where a health condition could affect safe participation.
Ladies swimming lessons
Learners may request a female swimming instructor for comfort, privacy, cultural preference or safeguarding considerations. Availability depends on requested timing, estate access, location coverage and instructor schedules.
The pools are shared residential facilities. A female-coach request does not create a private or women-only environment.
Stroke correction and fitness
Water-confident swimmers may work on freestyle, breaststroke, backstroke, body position, breathing, turns, pacing and efficiency. Repeats should be designed around the measured usable distance after inspection.
No standard 25m or 50m course should be assumed. The coach should adapt the programme when other residents interrupt the swimming route.
Private and small-group formats
Private lessons provide focused feedback and flexible progression. Small groups may suit siblings, relatives or residents with similar ability and objectives.
Group size should follow estate rules and allow safe sightlines and individual attention. Large mixed-level groups may obstruct other users and can be difficult to supervise.
Resident and management checks
Before paying for recurring lessons, ask management:
- whether external swimming instructors are permitted;
- whether identification, registration or insurance documents are required;
- whether the resident must escort or accompany the coach;
- which pool and hours may be used for lessons;
- whether teaching aids such as kickboards are allowed;
- whether advance booking or a facility fee applies; and
- how closures, complaints or busy-pool conditions are handled.
Written confirmation is preferable where the policy is unclear. SwimmingClasses.sg and an assigned instructor cannot override security procedures or estate by-laws.
Multi-level access and supervision
The Lap and Kids' Pools are at lobby level, while the relaxation and heated-jet facilities are at club level. Learners should not move between facility levels during a session unless the route and permissions are clear.
Scheduling and shared-pool etiquette
Observe the Lap Pool at the intended lesson time before selecting a recurring slot. Evenings, weekends and school holidays may be busy, but actual usage should be checked rather than assumed.
The instructor should keep equipment tidy, use only the space needed and preserve access to pool steps, cabanas and decks. A session may need to pause, relocate or finish if resident traffic makes instruction unsafe or disruptive.
Weather and safety
Outdoor or exposed lessons must stop during lightning warnings and whenever heavy rain, wind or poor visibility creates unsafe conditions. Learners should leave the water promptly and follow on-site instructions.
Wet decks can become slippery, while elevated club-level facilities may experience wind or glare. Maintenance, water treatment or resident events may also close a pool. Agree on cancellation and rescheduling terms before payment.
Fees and booking expectations
Fees vary by private or group format, duration, learner level, frequency, instructor experience and travel requirements. Request a current quotation explaining package validity, payment timing, cancellations and any assessment charge.
Confirm management approval before purchasing multiple lessons. A completed development with several pools does not automatically provide an authorised coaching slot.
SwimSafer preparation
Families interested in SwimSafer may ask whether the instructor provides programme-aligned preparation and where formal assessment takes place. 19 Nassim should not be described as an official SwimSafer assessment venue unless independently verified.
Frequently asked questions
Does 19 Nassim have a lap pool?
Yes. Keppel's official site plan labels a Lap Pool at lobby level. It does not publish a standard length.
Is 19 Nassim the same as The Nassim?
No. They are separate residential developments with different addresses, management arrangements and evidence records.
Can children learn in the Kids' Pool?
Potentially, if management permits lessons and an instructor confirms that the completed depth and layout suit the child's height and confidence.
Can lessons use the Relaxation Pool?
It should not be the default teaching area. Leisure layout, depth and club-level rules require specific assessment.
Is the Heated Jet Pool suitable for beginners?
It should not be treated as a standard lesson pool. Heat, jets and seating can interfere with swimming instruction.
Can a non-resident instructor enter?
Only if current visitor and facility rules permit. The resident may need to register, escort or remain with the instructor.
Evidence and review note
Completion, developer identity and project size were reviewed against URA's 4Q 2023 completion annex. The lobby-level Lap and Kids' Pools and club-level Relaxation and Heated Jet Pools were reviewed against Keppel's current 19 Nassim project page, official site plan and brochure on 26 August 2026. These sources do not establish pool length, current coaching permission or exclusive lesson space. 19 Nassim is separately identified from The Nassim.
