Swim Lessons in Jurong West
SwimmingClasses.sg accepts enquiries for private and small-group swimming lessons in the Jurong West area, including Jurong West Swimming Complex, for toddlers, kids, adults and ladies.
In a small-group class, learners are grouped by age and level. A group of beginners works on water confidence, breathing and floating together, while a group of more confident swimmers works on strokes and distance. If one learner is clearly ahead of or behind the rest, we suggest a better-matched group or one-to-one lessons instead.
What is important?
- Water Safety Awareness
- Comfort in Water
- Floating and Buoyancy
- Breath Control and Blowing Bubbles
- Kicking and Arm Movements
- Water Play and Games
Lessons are usually booked as a package at a regular weekly time with the same instructor. Tell us the learner’s age, current level and several possible days and times, and we will check instructor availability and confirm the fee before you book.

Learn to Swim
Choose a programme by the learner's age and goal. Each page explains what lessons usually cover, how classes are grouped and what to ask before booking.
Public-pool hours, admission charges and closures can change. Check the current official venue information before your first lesson, as pool admission is separate from the lesson fee.
Swimming Lessons for Special Needs

SwimSafer Lessons in Jurong West
Many children in small-group classes work through the SwimSafer stages. Learners preparing for the same stage are grouped together, so the class practises the same set of skills.
At the first lesson the instructor checks which stage skills the learner can already do. The remaining lessons focus on the gaps. Assessments are booked separately through SwimSafer CAMS (the West CAMS centre is currently at Jurong West Swimming Complex, expected until March 2027). Lessons do not include an assessment booking, and no number of lessons guarantees a pass.
Read more about the six stages, from Stage 1 to Gold, on our SwimSafer Singapore page, then tell us which stage the learner last completed.
Swimming Classes at Jurong West Swimming Complex
Jurong West Swimming Complex is a Sport Singapore public pool at 20 Jurong West Street 93, near Pioneer MRT. It is normally open 8am to 9:30pm every day except Tuesday, and the Competition Pool also opens 6:30am to 8am on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Lessons in the area can be arranged at the public pool (subject to venue rules and admission) or at a condominium pool where the learner has access.
Current pool status: ActiveSG lists the Fun Pool, Water Slide and Lazy River as closed from 5 October to 6 November 2026. Classes use the Competition Pool or Training Pool, but check the ActiveSG facility page before your lesson. For admission and accessibility details, see the Jurong West Swimming Complex visitor guide. Checked 29 October 2026.
Small-group classes
Small groups suit learners who are comfortable learning alongside others of a similar age and level. The per-person fee is lower than for private lessons, and many children enjoy practising with peers. Read how small-group classes work.
Private lessons
One-to-one lessons suit nervous beginners, learners with a specific technique goal, or anyone who needs a slower or more flexible pace. Compare private lessons.
Instructors
Lessons are taught by instructors in our coaching network. Qualifications and experience vary, so ask us to confirm the matched instructor’s current credentials before booking.
Fees
The lesson fee depends on the format, group size, number of lessons and pool arrangement, and does not include ActiveSG pool entry. See our fees page and ask for a written quote.
Kids’ swim classes
Kids’ classes usually start with water confidence, breath control and floating, then move on to kicking, gliding and the basic strokes. Children are grouped by level, so a nervous beginner is not placed with confident swimmers.
Parents can ask the instructor at the end of each lesson what the child worked on and what comes next. More about kids’ swimming lessons.
Adult swimming lessons
Adult lessons begin at the learner’s current comfort level, whether that is putting the face in the water for the first time or improving freestyle breathing. Adults can choose one-to-one lessons or a small group of adults at a similar level.
Tell us about any fear of water or previous bad experience so the instructor can plan a gradual start. More about adult swimming lessons.
Toddler swim programme
Toddler lessons focus on calm, playful water familiarisation: entering the water safely, getting used to splashing, supported floating and following simple cues. Depending on the format, a parent or caregiver may need to be in the water.
Confirm the age range, caregiver role and group size before booking. More about toddler swimming lessons.
Ladies’ swim classes
Ladies’ lessons can be one-to-one or in a small group. You can request a female instructor; requests depend on location, timing and availability, and we will confirm before booking.
If modest swimwear or privacy matters, mention it in your enquiry and check the venue’s attire rules. More about ladies’ swimming lessons.
