Archipelago is an existing residential development beside Bedok Reservoir Park. Singapore Land identifies 553 apartments, 24 three-storey strata houses and completion in 2015. The original project brochure and design-team records document a main pool, leisure swimming water, children's water and other distinct aquatic features within its park-inspired landscape.
The development total is therefore 577 residences, while the URA-derived non-landed layer records 553 apartment dwellings. This guide preserves that distinction rather than presenting the apartment count as the complete development total.

Understanding the pool landscape
Project material describes a main pool and leisure swimming areas alongside children's, Jacuzzi, aqua-gym, hot-tub, water-jet and landscape-water uses. Design-team documentation also describes recreational pools with stepped surfaces and island decks. These areas have different purposes and should not be treated as interchangeable.
An approved main or leisure swimming section may support lessons when its actual depth, clear route, recovery points and resident traffic suit the learner. Curves, steps, islands and grotto-like forms can affect sight lines and turns, so the coach must assess the physical layout directly.
Jacuzzi pools and hot tubs are wellness facilities. Water jets and landscape cascades are recreational or decorative. Children's water may be considered only after management permission and verification of depth, hygiene, supervision and learner suitability.

Learners should disclose injuries, mobility restrictions, exercise limits and water anxiety. Unsuitable depth, crowding or limited recovery access may require shorter drills, another approved area, a different time or an alternative venue.
Ladies and female-instructor requests
Ladies may request a female swimming instructor for comfort, cultural preference, privacy or safeguarding. Matching depends on instructor availability, Bedok coverage, schedule and estate-access approval.
The pool remains shared with residents. A female coach does not create a women-only session or guarantee visual privacy. Modest swimwear remains subject to safety, hygiene and current management requirements.
Private and small-group formats
One-to-one lessons provide focused feedback and flexible pacing. Private instruction does not reserve part of a pool or give priority over residents.
Small groups may suit siblings, couples or neighbours with compatible ages, abilities and goals. Numbers must comply with management requirements and allow continuous supervision. Mixed abilities or busy conditions may make separate lessons safer.
Approved floats and kickboards must remain clear of steps, island decks, ladders and emergency routes. The instructor should adapt or pause whenever residents enter the teaching space.

Archipelago is private residential property. Its frontage along Bedok Reservoir Park does not create public access to the development's pools.

Bedok Reservoir is not a substitute venue for these condominium lessons. Busy conditions may require shorter drills, another approved pool section, a pause or rescheduling.
