Faber Residence Swimming Lessons Planning Guide

Faber Residence is a 399-unit low-rise development under construction at Faber Walk in Clementi. GuocoLand's official launch release gives an estimated TOP in the first half of 2029 and identifies three planned pool settings: a 50-metre lap pool, leisure pool and wading pool.

This is a planning guide, not a current-availability page. Pool operation, final depth, management permission and instructor access must be confirmed after handover.

Quick answer

The 50-metre lap pool may support structured stroke and distance work when an approved section is safely available. The wading pool may support selected early-confidence activities only after its final depth, entries and visibility are inspected. The leisure pool requires separate assessment and should not be treated as a training pool by default.

Residents may register future interest, but no instructor, time, fee or access can be guaranteed now.

Three pools are not one teaching zone

Project material describes the three pools as forming a long visual water feature. That visual continuity does not mean learners should move between them during a lesson. Each pool can have different depth, shape, traffic and intended use.

After handover, an instructor should inspect entries, exits, wall grip, depth changes, sightlines, water features and resident circulation. A single clearly bounded teaching area should be selected for each lesson. Advertised length does not create a reserved lane.

Kids swimming lesson planning

Young beginners may start with safe entry and exit, face wetting, controlled exhalation, assisted floating, balance, short propulsion and recovery. Progress should be based on consistent control rather than pressure to swim the full pool length.

A wading pool is not automatically appropriate for every child. It may be too shallow for some skills, have recreational features or lack a suitable wall. Parents should later share the child's age, previous lessons, water confidence, fear triggers, medical considerations and ability to follow instructions.

Adult beginner and stroke lessons

Adult beginners can build water comfort, breathing, flotation, balance, kicking and recovery progressively. Learners with earlier fear should not be rushed into deep or crowded water.

Independent swimmers may work on freestyle breathing, breaststroke timing, backstroke alignment, efficiency and endurance. The planned 50-metre pool may support longer repeats only after technique and recovery remain reliable and shared resident use permits a clear path.

Private and compatible small groups

Private lessons allow individual pacing and close correction. They may suit nervous beginners, technical goals or learners returning after a break.

Sibling or resident groups can work when participants have compatible ability, goals, independence and attention. Similar age alone is not enough. A learner needing hands-on support should not be combined casually with someone completing uninterrupted distance work.

Female swimming instructor requests

Ladies and families may request a female instructor. Future matching depends on Clementi coverage, management access, timetable and availability. State the preference when registering interest.

Low-rise development access checks

The future residential pool remains private even though the project connects with the surrounding Faber Walk and park-connector environment. Residents should confirm whether paid external coaches are allowed, how visitors register, whether a resident must accompany the instructor, which gate or basement route applies and whether teaching aids are restricted.

Written management approval should be obtained where practical. SwimmingClasses.sg cannot override security, capacity or pool-use decisions.

First-lesson assessment

The first operational lesson should check water comfort, safe entry and exit, breath control, flotation, propulsion, stopping, wall recovery and response to instructions. The outcome is a starting level and a short sequence of priorities, not a guaranteed milestone.

Bring fitted swimwear, a towel, goggles if comfortable and only approved aids. Relevant health or safety information should be shared privately before entering the water.

Frequency and scheduling

A consistent weekly lesson often supports retention. More frequent sessions may help selected learners but must account for fatigue, school or work commitments and practice time. Weekday and weekend choices will depend on future instructor coverage and condominium rules.

Quieter periods may improve visibility but cannot be promised or treated as reserved before management and instructor confirmation.

Weather and closures

Outdoor lessons may be postponed or stopped for lightning, heavy rain, poor visibility, contamination, maintenance or unsafe resident traffic. Agree on late-arrival, cancellation and make-up terms before payment. The instructor's immediate safety decision takes priority.

Fees and booking status

Future fees depend on lesson duration, private or group format, learner count, instructor matching, schedule and access requirements. Request written confirmation covering the fee, inclusions, payment timing, cancellation policy, make-up terms and any resident-side charges.

An enquiry does not reserve a coach, price or lesson time.

SwimSafer boundary

Condo lessons can build safe entry, breath control, floating, propulsion, recovery and stamina. They are not automatically an official SwimSafer programme or assessment. Families seeking certification should ask whether an approved public-pool programme or separate assessment is required.

Alternative venues

If management does not permit external coaching or the completed pools are unsuitable, consider a public pool or another approved venue. Do not commence informal paid lessons without permission.

Frequently asked questions

Can lessons begin at Faber Residence now?

No. The project is under construction and this page does not claim current operation.

Is the wading pool suitable for beginners?

That depends on final depth, design, visibility and the learner's needs. Its name alone is insufficient.

Will the 50m pool provide a dedicated lesson lane?

No dedicated lane is promised. Shared-use conditions must be checked.

Can a female instructor be requested?

Yes, subject to future access, Clementi coverage and availability.

Does registering interest lock in the fee?

No. Fees and terms must be confirmed later in writing.
