Floraview Swimming Lessons

Residents may enquire about Floraview swimming lessons at 1, 3 and 5 Ang Mo Kio Street 66, Singapore 567705, 567706 and 567707. The URA-derived inventory records 90 homes across these three addresses. Oxley's current project page and current SRX, Listings.sg and PropertyVow records independently identify a communal swimming pool.

Kids, adults, ladies and compatible private or small-group lessons may be considered only after current management approval and an instructor's onsite assessment. The wading pool is a separate facility and is not automatically treated as ordinary teaching water.

Verified Floraview identity

The URA-derived dwelling inventory records three Floraview address entries at 1, 3 and 5 Ang Mo Kio Street 66, with 90 homes in total. Current EdgeProp, 99.co, SRX, Listings.sg and transaction records support these three residential addresses, freehold tenure and Oxley YCK Pte Ltd as developer.

Floraview forms part of a broader mixed-development cluster commonly styled Flora Vista and Floraview. Oxley's current project page describes 90 residential units and 28 commercial units and uses 7 Ang Mo Kio Street 66 as its portfolio address. Oxley annual reports identify Floraview, Floravista and Floraville across 1, 3, 5 and 7 Ang Mo Kio Street 66 and 2 Cactus Road.

This page concerns the 90-home Floraview residential component represented by the three URA postcodes. It does not assume that commercial visitors, Floraville residents or the public can use the residential pool.

Current sources use both 2017 and 2018 completion conventions. 99.co, EdgeProp, SRX and Listings.sg use 2017, while current PropertyGuru listings and other project records use 2018. Oxley's current portfolio page still displays an expected TOP date of 31 December 2021, which appears inconsistent with completed-project and transaction records and is not adopted as the actual completion year.

Communal swimming-pool evidence

Oxley's current exact-project portfolio page lists a swimming pool and wading pool among the Floraview features. This is first-party, project-specific facility evidence.

SRX independently lists a swimming pool, wading pool, gym and pavilion for Floraview. Listings.sg separately lists a swimming pool, wading pool, pool deck and supporting facilities. PropertyVow also identifies a swimming pool and wading pool for the exact 1, 3 and 5 Ang Mo Kio Street 66 addresses.

Current exact-address listings and 99.co imagery add further support. EdgeProp currently reports zero facilities, creating a source conflict that residents should resolve through current management confirmation. The stronger first-party and multiple independent exact-project records support the existence of the pool, but do not prove its condition or access today.

Some secondary pages give measurements for the pool or describe it as a lap pool. Those details are not adopted here because current onsite dimensions, depth and usable teaching length require direct verification. Jacuzzi labels appear in some secondary records but not in the core Oxley feature list, so a Jacuzzi is not included in ordinary lesson planning.

Why mixed-development access needs care

The Floraview, Flora Vista and Floraville names are sometimes grouped in marketing and transaction interfaces. That does not establish a single unrestricted access policy. Residential entrances, commercial areas, visitor routes and facility permissions may be controlled separately.

The resident should provide the exact block and ask management which entrance an external instructor must use. A commercial address, shop visit or access to another part of the cluster does not grant entry to the residential pool.

The coach should avoid relying on old launch diagrams or sales-agent instructions. Current written directions from the authorised managing party take priority.

Children's swimming lessons

Children may begin with calm water entry, supported balance, controlled exhalation, floating, turning and returning to a reachable edge. Stroke development should follow when the learner can maintain a safe body position and follow instructions consistently.

The instructor must inspect the management-approved water area before confirming a child's programme. A facility list does not show the current depth profile, continuous ledges, step arrangement or safe waiting zones.

Parents should share previous lesson experience, fear, impulsive behaviour and relevant health considerations. A parent or responsible adult may need to remain nearby according to the child's age, confidence and current estate rules.

The separately listed wading pool is not automatically suitable for formal instruction. Its depth, purpose, available space and access rules require management and instructor approval.

Adult beginner swimming lessons

Adult beginners can start with gradual familiarisation, breathing control, floating, standing recovery and short supported movement. Lessons may then progress toward streamlined travel, coordinated propulsion and repeatable breathing.

An anxious learner may need small exercises near an approved wall or exit. A confident beginner may progress more quickly, but the programme should be based on observed control rather than age or fitness.

Adults returning after a long break can use the first session to review balance, breathing and stroke mechanics before increasing distance. No marked lane or uninterrupted lap distance is claimed, so fitness work must fit the actual shared pool conditions.

Stroke refinement and fitness

Swimmers with basic competence may request help with freestyle breathing, backstroke alignment, breaststroke timing or more efficient movement. Drills should be concise and compatible with other residents' use.

Fitness-focused lessons require an honest assessment of shared traffic and available water. A quiet period may help, but no schedule can guarantee exclusive use. If the facility is crowded, under maintenance or closed for weather, the lesson should pause or be rescheduled.

Ladies swimming lessons and female-instructor requests

Residents may request a female swimming instructor for comfort, privacy, cultural or personal reasons. Matching depends on management-approved access, location, schedule and instructor availability.

The pool remains shared. A female-instructor request does not make the water or deck private, and other residents may enter during a lesson. Clothing, guest and observation arrangements remain subject to current rules.

Private and small-group formats

One-to-one lessons provide individual feedback and can suit complete beginners, children needing close supervision, adults rebuilding confidence or swimmers addressing a specific technique.

A small group may work when learners have compatible ages, abilities and goals. Management must permit the group size, and the instructor must confirm that the approved water area supports safe supervision without blocking residents.

The 90-home count does not determine class size. Actual pool space, shared use, learner needs and management policy control the decision.

Large public classes, open enrolment and assumed reserved lanes are not proposed. This page supports resident-led enquiries only.

What residents should verify with management

Before confirming Floraview swimming lessons, ask the authorised managing party:

  • whether an external swimming instructor may enter and coach;
  • whether the resident must preregister, accompany or sign in the instructor;
  • which residential entrance and block route should be used;
  • which pool area and hours are approved for lessons;
  • whether participant numbers or equipment are restricted;
  • whether Flora Vista commercial access is separate from pool access;
  • what lightning, closure and emergency procedures apply; and
  • whether current written rules replace earlier arrangements.

An agent, shop occupant, old brochure or access to a neighbouring component cannot grant current pool permission.

Instructor safety assessment

Before the first lesson, the instructor should inspect the approved area and confirm:

  • actual water depth and depth transitions;
  • walls, steps, ladders, ledges and safe exits;
  • separation from the wading pool and other leisure water;
  • deck traction, drainage and trip hazards;
  • visibility across the teaching area;
  • shared-use patterns at the proposed time;
  • safe placement of permitted teaching aids; and
  • the route for stopping a lesson and obtaining help.

The reviewed sources do not establish current water quality, maintenance condition, rescue equipment, lifeguard coverage or operating hours. These require current onsite checks.

Suggested lesson frequency

Many beginners benefit from one consistent lesson each week, supported by short safe practice when permitted and properly supervised. A learner working toward a defined goal may prefer a temporary higher frequency, subject to recovery, access and instructor availability.

Progress varies with confidence, attendance, coordination, previous experience and practice quality. No fixed number of sessions guarantees water safety, a stroke standard or a SwimSafer result.

Information to include in an enquiry

To help assess Floraview lesson availability, provide:

  • the learner's age and current swimming ability;
  • the main goal, such as confidence, beginner skills or stroke improvement;
  • preferred weekdays and times;
  • whether private or compatible small-group instruction is requested;
  • whether a female instructor is preferred;
  • the resident's block at 1, 3 or 5 Ang Mo Kio Street 66; and
  • whether management permission for an external coach has been checked.

An enquiry is not a confirmed booking. Instructor availability, pool suitability and access must be verified first.

Frequently asked questions

Does Floraview have a swimming pool?

Oxley's current project page and current SRX, Listings.sg and PropertyVow exact-project records identify a swimming pool. EdgeProp reports zero facilities, so current operation should still be checked directly with management.

Is Flora Vista the same as Floraview?

They are associated within a broader mixed-development cluster, but this page covers the 90-home Floraview residential component at 1, 3 and 5 Ang Mo Kio Street 66. Access rights should not be assumed across components.

When was Floraview completed?

Current records use 2017 and 2018 conventions. Both are disclosed. Oxley's current page contains a later expected-TOP field that conflicts with completed-project records and is not treated as the actual completion year.

Can children use the wading pool for lessons?

Not automatically. Its depth, purpose, space and current rules must be approved by management and assessed by the instructor.

Can adults start from zero?

Yes. Adult beginners may start with confidence, breathing, floating and safe recovery before progressing to coordinated swimming.

Can residents request a female instructor?

Yes. Matching depends on management-approved access, timing and instructor availability.

Evidence and limits

This guide uses the URA-derived dwelling inventory, Oxley's current project page, Oxley annual reports and current exact-project information from SRX, Listings.sg, PropertyVow, 99.co, EdgeProp and PropertyGuru. These sources support the residential identity, 90-home count and communal swimming-pool evidence while presenting completion-year and facilities-record conflicts.

The page does not claim exact pool dimensions, depth, marked lanes, current condition, external-coach permission, reserved water or guaranteed lesson suitability. Wading-pool and secondary Jacuzzi labels are separately gated.
