Foresque Residences Swimming Lessons
Foresque Residences is a completed condominium at Petir Road beside the Upper Bukit Timah nature area. ARC Studio's project record verifies 496 homes in five towers and describes swimming pools and aquatic ponds across the environmental deck. The project landscape architect records a built landscape and identifies a 50-metre lap pool alongside separate fun, Jacuzzi, play, children's and bio-pond water.
The lap pool is the primary candidate for structured instruction. Its published length supports measured practice, but it does not prove competition certification, marked lanes, uniform depth, uninterrupted availability or current permission for an external coach.
Quick answer
Residents may enquire about kids, adult, ladies, beginner, private or compatible small-group swimming lessons at Foresque Residences. Lessons can proceed only if current management permits the paid instructor, resident access is arranged, and an on-site assessment confirms that an approved lap-pool section suits the learner.
No lane, exclusive area, quiet period or guaranteed coach entry is promised. The curving waterscape and shared activity may reduce the clear teaching route even where a 50-metre pool is documented.
Choosing the correct water area
The landscape architect distinguishes the central lap pool from fun, Jacuzzi, play and children's pools, a shallow stream, bio-pond and cascading features. Those different functions must remain separate in lesson planning.
The lap pool offers the clearest ordinary swimming route. Before use, verify its actual walls, steps, ladders, depths, ledges, curves, visibility and resident traffic. A published 50-metre length does not establish regulated lanes, starting equipment or exclusive access.
Jacuzzi, bio-pond, shallow-stream, cascading and decorative water are excluded. Fun and play water are also excluded from formal stroke teaching. Children's-pool use is conditional on management approval and a child-specific assessment; its label alone does not establish suitable depth, edges or visibility.
First-session pool and access checklist
Before recurring lessons begin, verify:
- current permission for a paid external swimming instructor;
- resident sponsorship, visitor registration and escort procedures;
- identification, insurance, qualifications or advance notice required;
- the exact pool section and times approved for instruction;
- separation from fun, Jacuzzi, play, stream, pond and decorative water;
- actual depths, transitions and restricted areas;
- ordinary walls, steps, ladders and recovery points;
- usable distance, lane markings and uninterrupted clear space;
- curves, ledges, jets, planting edges or other obstructions;
- typical lap, leisure, play and crossing traffic;
- deck grip, drainage, shade, heat and glare;
- opening hours, cleaning and maintenance closures;
- lightning and emergency procedures; and
- equipment, group-size, noise and photography limits.
Current by-laws, management notices, security directions and poolside signs take priority over this guide and historic project material.
Kids swimming lessons
Young beginners may practise safe entry, bubbles, face immersion, supported floating, kicking and returning to an accessible edge. The selected lap-pool section must match the child's height, confidence, communication needs and recovery ability.
School-age learners may progress through body position, freestyle and backstroke coordination, breaststroke timing, treading water and practical self-rescue. Full-length repetitions should begin only when technique, stamina, supervision and shared conditions support them.
Parents should disclose medical, sensory or learning needs. A responsible adult should remain available whenever required. Children's and play water are not automatically better for beginners; the coach must assess actual conditions and intended use.
Adult beginner and stroke coaching
Adult beginners can work on calm exhalation, balance, floating, standing recovery and short independent movement beside suitable support. Nervous learners should progress in controlled stages rather than being pressured into a full length.
Water-confident adults may improve alignment, catch, rotation, breathing rhythm, breaststroke efficiency, turns, pacing and endurance. Training distance should reflect the currently usable route, not a guarantee that all 50 metres will remain clear.
Learners should disclose injuries, mobility restrictions, exercise limits and water anxiety. Unsuitable depth, crowding or limited recovery access may require shorter drills, another approved time or an alternative venue.
Ladies and female-instructor requests
Ladies may request a female swimming instructor for comfort, privacy, cultural preference or safeguarding. Matching depends on instructor availability, Bukit Panjang coverage, schedule and estate approval.
The pools remain shared with residents. A female coach does not create a women-only session or guarantee visual privacy. Modest swimwear remains subject to safe movement, hygiene and current management requirements.
Private and small-group formats
One-to-one lessons provide focused feedback and flexible pacing. Private instruction does not reserve the lap pool or give priority over residents.
Small groups may suit compatible siblings, couples or neighbours. Numbers must comply with estate requirements and allow continuous supervision. Mixed abilities or busy conditions may make separate lessons safer.
Approved floats and kickboards must remain clear of steps, ladders and emergency routes. The instructor should shorten, adapt or pause activities whenever resident movement affects safety.
Resident, management and security approval
Foresque Residences is private residential property, not a public teaching venue. The resident should ask whether paid coaches are permitted and what registration, identification, insurance, qualification, booking or escort rules apply.
Management may regulate pool choice, lesson timing, group size, equipment, noise and photography. Written confirmation is preferable when rules are unclear. Previous instructor entry does not establish continuing permission, and submitting an enquiry does not create an estate access pass.
Scheduling and Singapore weather
Residents can propose weekday or weekend options after checking pool hours, maintenance and typical traffic. No quiet period, reserved area or instructor slot is guaranteed.
Singapore lightning, heavy rain, heat and glare can interrupt lessons. Teaching must stop whenever warnings, visibility, water condition, deck grip, closure notices or management directions make continuation unsafe.
Fun, Jacuzzi, play, children's, stream, pond and decorative water are not automatic fallback venues. Busy or unsafe conditions require shorter drills, a pause, rescheduling or another approved pool.
Fees, cancellations and SwimSafer planning
Fees depend on duration, private or group format, participant count, instructor match, travel and access requirements. No Foresque Residences-specific price is invented. Review the fees and rates guide and request a written quotation.
Terms should cover weather, failed access, closures, notice periods, credits, make-up lessons and package expiry. Payment does not reserve shared water or override management decisions.
Lessons may develop confidence, recovery, strokes and water-safety skills relevant to SwimSafer preparation. Foresque Residences is not presented as an official assessment or certification venue without separate confirmation.

Sources and review note
Facts were reviewed on 27 August 2026 using ARC Studio's project record, STX Landscape Architects' project documentation and the URA-derived dwelling dataset. They support 496 homes, completed status, swimming pools and the differentiated 50-metre lap, fun, Jacuzzi, play, children's and bio-pond settings. Depths, marked lanes, certification, present availability and coach-access rules remain withheld or subject to verification.
