Lake Life Swimming Lessons

Lake Life is a completed 546-home executive condominium on Tao Ching Road in Jurong. HDB and BBR Holdings records identify the project, Lakehomes Pte Ltd and its completed status, while current BCA-derived management data identifies MCST 4557.
BBR's project imagery shows a residential pool courtyard, and current estate-specific records identify a swimming pool. Residents may enquire about kids, adult, ladies, beginner, private or compatible small-group lessons, subject to management permission, security approval and an on-site assessment.
Quick answer
Swimming lessons may be possible when Lake Life management permits the named external instructor and paid coaching. The reviewed evidence supports a communal swimming pool but does not establish a measured length, depths, lane arrangement, current condition or approved teaching section.
Some listings describe a 50-metre lap pool, leisure pool, fun pool or water-play area. Those details are not promoted as verified facts because no authenticated original facility schedule was located.
Verified project identity
The URA-derived dwelling dataset records 546 homes across five postal codes: 618721, 618723, 618724, 618725 and 618726. Current address records place the development along 2 to 12 Tao Ching Road.
HDB's executive-condominium development listing identifies Lake Life. BBR corporate records describe the 546-unit project and document completion, while its annual-report imagery shows the built residential development around a substantial pool courtyard.
Current BCA-derived records identify Lake Life as MCST Plan No. 4557 with 546 strata lots. These sources anchor the exact estate and avoid confusion with Lakeville, The Lakeshore, Jurong Lake Gardens or other developments using “lake” names.
What the pool evidence supports
The official BBR project image visibly associates a pool courtyard with Lake Life. Current estate and property records for the same 546-home executive condominium independently list a swimming pool.
This supports a narrow pool-existence claim. It does not prove 50-metre length, pool count, depths, lane markings, ropes, starting blocks, competition certification, opening hours, condition or permission for commercial instruction.
The coach should measure the usable route and inspect its walls, exits, depth changes and shared-use pattern. Beginners need a suitable section near a dependable boundary; they do not need to cross any assumed full length.
Jurong Lake and other water boundaries
Proximity to Jurong Lake Gardens does not create access to public park water or make it suitable for residential lessons. Lakes, ponds, canals, wetlands, fountains and other landscape water are outside this guide.
Any leisure, fun, play, shallow, spa or decorative water inside the estate must also remain separate unless management identifies it as approved and an instructor conducts a distinct suitability assessment.
Lessons should use only the management-approved swimming area.
Management and security approval
Lake Life is private residential property. A resident invitation or enquiry does not automatically authorise a paid instructor to enter or conduct lessons.
Ask management whether the named external swimming coach and proposed class format are permitted. Confirm resident preregistration, escort or accompaniment, identification, qualifications, insurance, indemnity and advance-notice requirements.
Also verify approved hours, participant limits, equipment, photography restrictions and any booking process. Current by-laws, notices and security directions override online descriptions and earlier access arrangements.
First-session assessment
Before recurring lessons begin, verify:
- the correct entrance, visitor-registration route and pool-deck meeting point;
- permission for the named coach and lesson format;
- the pool area management approves for instruction;
- measured usable distance and current depth changes;
- ordinary walls, steps, ladders and recovery points;
- slopes, ledges, drains, jets and restricted features;
- separation from leisure, play, shallow, spa or decorative water;
- visibility across the intended teaching route;
- deck grip, drainage, glare, shade and circulation;
- typical resident traffic and shared use;
- opening, cleaning and maintenance schedules;
- lightning shelter and emergency procedures; and
- rules for kickboards, floats, fins and other teaching aids.
Kids swimming lessons
Young beginners may practise safe entry, bubbles, face immersion, supported floating, kicking and returning to a reachable wall. The approved section must suit the child's height, confidence, communication needs and recovery ability.
School-age learners may progress through balance, streamlining, freestyle and backstroke coordination, breaststroke timing, treading water and practical self-rescue habits. Longer repetitions should begin only when technique, stamina and shared conditions allow.
Parents should disclose relevant medical, sensory or learning needs and remain available whenever estate rules or the learner's needs require it. Active adult supervision remains necessary around every water edge.
Adult beginner and stroke coaching
Adult beginners can learn calm exhalation, balance, floating, recovery to standing and short independent movement near a suitable wall. Nervous learners should progress gradually rather than being pushed into deep water.
Water-confident adults may work on body position, breathing rhythm, catch, rotation, breaststroke efficiency, turns and pacing. The coach should adapt repetitions to the measured usable route and current resident traffic.
Tell the instructor about injuries, mobility limits, exercise restrictions or difficult experiences in water. Another authorised venue may be recommended when the estate pool cannot safely support the objective.
Ladies and female-instructor requests
Ladies may request a female swimming instructor for comfort, privacy, cultural preference or safeguarding. Matching depends on instructor availability, Jurong coverage, schedule and management-approved access.
The pool remains shared residential water. A female coach does not create a women-only environment or guarantee visual privacy.
Private and small-group formats
One-to-one lessons provide focused feedback and flexible pacing. Private instruction does not reserve a lane or give priority over residents.
Small groups may suit siblings, couples or neighbours with compatible abilities and goals. Group size must comply with management rules and allow continuous supervision. Mixed levels or heavy recreational traffic may make separate sessions safer.
Equipment must remain clear of entrances, steps, ladders and emergency routes. The coach should shorten drills, pause or reschedule when shared use makes instruction unsafe or disruptive.
Scheduling, weather and closures
Residents can propose several weekday or weekend options after checking opening hours, maintenance and typical usage. No exclusive lane, quiet period or guaranteed recurring slot should be promised without written approval.
Outdoor lessons must stop during lightning warnings and whenever heavy rain, poor visibility, contamination, slippery decking or management directions make continuation unsafe. Agree how weather, closures and failed access affect credits or make-up lessons.
Fees and booking expectations
Fees depend on duration, format, participant count, instructor match, travel and access requirements. Review the SwimmingClasses.sg fees and rates guide and request a current written quotation.
The quotation should state session length, participants, payment timing, cancellation notice, package validity and access assumptions. Confirm management permission before purchasing multiple lessons.
SwimSafer and water safety
Condo lessons may develop confidence, floating, recovery and strokes relevant to broader water-safety goals. Lake Life is not represented as an official SwimSafer assessment venue without separate programme and venue confirmation.
Coaching never replaces active supervision or estate rules.
Frequently asked questions
Does Lake Life have a swimming pool?
Yes. BBR's project imagery shows the pool courtyard, and current estate-specific records independently identify a swimming pool. Current dimensions, depths and condition require inspection.
Is the pool 50 metres long?
Some current listings say so, but an authenticated original facility schedule was unavailable. Measure the completed usable route before planning distance-based lessons.
Can lessons take place in Jurong Lake Gardens?
No. This guide concerns an approved section of the private residential pool only. Public park, lake, pond, canal and wetland water are excluded.
Can an external instructor enter?
Only when current management and security procedures permit the named coach and the resident completes required arrangements.
Are private lessons guaranteed exclusive water?
No. Private describes the coaching format, not exclusive use of a shared residential facility.
Sources and review note
Identity, scale and completion were reviewed on 28 August 2026 using the URA-derived dwelling dataset, HDB's executive-condominium listing, BBR corporate records and current BCA-derived MCST data. Pool existence was supported by BBR's official project imagery and current estate-specific records.
The 50-metre, leisure-pool, fun-pool and water-play claims remain unverified. Pool dimensions, depths, lanes, condition and paid-coach permission require direct confirmation. Jurong Lake Gardens and every public or landscape water body are expressly excluded.
