Lentor Mansion Swimming Lessons Planning Guide

Lentor Mansion is a 533-unit development under construction in the Lentor Hills estate. GuocoLand's 2025 annual report targets completion in the first half of 2028. First-party launch material identifies a planned 50-metre lap pool, leisure pool, jacuzzi and children's play pool.
This page supports future planning only. It does not claim that the pools are operational, that external instructors are approved, or that lessons can be booked before handover.
Quick answer
The planned 50-metre lap pool may suit structured stroke and distance work once its final conditions are verified. The children's play pool may suit selected early-confidence activities only if depth, features and visibility are appropriate. The leisure pool needs separate assessment, while the jacuzzi should not be treated as a teaching pool.
A resident may register interest now, but access, instructor coverage, timing and fees must be confirmed later.
Planning for four different water settings
Each facility has a different intended character. A lap pool may offer a repeatable path, but advertised length does not guarantee an exclusive lane. A leisure pool may have curves, changing depths or recreational traffic. A children's play pool may contain features that distract learners or obstruct supervision. A jacuzzi may include jets, seating and heat that make formal teaching inappropriate.
After handover, an instructor should inspect entries, exits, wall grip, depth transitions, sightlines, resident flow and management rules before selecting a teaching zone.
Kids swimming lessons
Young beginners may work on safe entry and exit, comfort with face wetting, controlled exhalation, assisted floating, body balance, short propulsion and recovery. They should not be pushed across the 50-metre pool before breath control and recovery are reliable.
Parents should share the child's age, prior lessons, water confidence, fear triggers, medical considerations and ability to follow instructions. A responsible adult should remain reachable. The instructor's lesson-time supervision does not replace family supervision around the pool.
Adult beginner and improvement lessons
Adult beginners can build comfort gradually through breathing, floating, balance, kicking and safe recovery. Privacy and calm instruction are important, particularly for learners with an earlier negative water experience.
Adults who already swim may later work on freestyle breathing, breaststroke timing, backstroke alignment, efficiency and sustainable distance. The 50-metre length can support continuous work only when an approved path is clear and safe.
Private, sibling and small-group options
Private lessons allow individual pacing and close technical feedback. Sibling pairs or small resident groups may work when learners have similar ability, goals, independence and attention.
Group design should be based on safe supervision, not just age or cost. A learner needing hands-on support should not be combined casually with someone completing long repeats. Separate sessions may be appropriate.
Female swimming instructor requests
Ladies and families may request a female instructor. Matching depends on future Lentor access, schedule and instructor availability. Include the preference in the enquiry so it can be considered during later matching.
Handover and access checklist
Once the development is operational, confirm whether paid external coaching is permitted, how visitors register, whether a resident must accompany the instructor, which entrance or lift route applies and whether teaching aids are allowed.
Management permission should be obtained in writing where possible. Pool rules, operating hours and maintenance arrangements can change. SwimmingClasses.sg cannot override security or management decisions.
What the first lesson should establish
The first lesson is an assessment of water comfort, safe entry and exit, breathing response, flotation, propulsion, stopping, recovery and instruction-following. It establishes a starting level and near-term priorities, not a guaranteed achievement.
Bring fitted swimwear, a towel, goggles if tolerated and only approved learning aids. Health or safety information relevant to participation should be shared privately before the learner enters the pool.
Lesson frequency and scheduling
A consistent weekly lesson often supports retention. More frequent lessons may help some learners but should account for fatigue, school or work commitments and independent practice. Weekend and weekday availability will depend on instructor coverage and condominium rules after handover.
Quieter hours may improve visibility but cannot be promised in advance. No resident-use area should be represented as reserved unless management provides explicit approval.
Weather and closures
Outdoor lessons may be postponed or stopped for lightning, heavy rain, poor visibility, contamination, maintenance or unsafe crowding. Agree on cancellation, late-arrival and make-up terms before payment. The instructor's immediate safety decision takes priority.
Fees and enquiry status
Future fees depend on lesson duration, format, learner count, instructor matching, schedule and access conditions. Request written confirmation of the amount, inclusions, payment timing, cancellation terms, make-up policy and any resident-side charges.
An enquiry does not reserve a lesson, coach, fee or time.
SwimSafer boundary
Condo lessons can develop entry, breath control, floating, propulsion, recovery and stamina. They are not automatically an official SwimSafer course or assessment. Families seeking certification should ask whether an approved public-pool programme or separate assessment is required.
Alternatives after handover
If management does not permit external instructors or the pools are unsuitable, SwimmingClasses.sg can discuss a public pool or another approved venue. Do not commence paid coaching without permission.
