Mont Botanik Residence Swimming Lessons

Mont Botanik Residence is a completed condominium at Jalan Remaja. URA records 108 units completed in the first quarter of 2023 under Episcia Land Pte Ltd.
The original project brochure and site plan identify a 25m Lap Pool, Kid's Pool and Fun Pool with Waterwall on the landscaped deck. They separately identify an Entrance Reflecting Pool and a rooftop Infinity Jacuzzi Enclave Pool.
These water settings have different purposes. Conventional swimming lessons should use only a management-approved pool that an instructor has assessed, while decorative, play and jacuzzi features should not be represented as interchangeable teaching pools.
Quick answer
Residents may enquire about private or small-group lessons for children, adults, ladies and swimmers seeking stroke development. The 25m Lap Pool is the clearest setting for conventional instruction, subject to estate rules.
The Kid's Pool may support selected beginner activities after its depth and layout are checked. The Fun Pool is intended for play and leisure, the reflecting pool is decorative, and the rooftop jacuzzi enclave should not be used as a standard lesson pool.
Understanding the pool choices
25m Lap Pool
The archived project site plan labels a 25m Lap Pool. Its stated length can support breathing work, stroke development, turns, pacing and short fitness sets when an approved section is available.
The label does not establish competition certification, marked lanes, uniform depth or exclusive coaching space. An instructor should assess the completed entries, walls, visibility and resident traffic before planning distance-based exercises.
Kid's Pool
The Kid's Pool is identified separately from the lap pool. It may suit water familiarisation, supported floating or short beginner movements for a learner whose height and confidence match the completed depth.
Its name does not prove that it is shallow throughout or suitable for every child. Close supervision and current depth signs remain essential.
Fun Pool with Waterwall
The brochure describes a Fun Pool with Waterwall. Water movement, play activity and a leisure-oriented layout can reduce the unobstructed space needed for instruction.
It should be considered only if management permits teaching there and the instructor confirms that a particular activity is safe. It is not a substitute for the 25m pool when the latter is busy.
Reflecting and rooftop jacuzzi pools
An Entrance Reflecting Pool is a visual landscape feature rather than a swimming facility. The Infinity Jacuzzi Enclave Pool is described as a rooftop relaxation setting and may include jets, seating or an exposed edge.
Neither should be promoted for conventional swimming lessons. Learners should use only designated swimming areas and follow all barriers and signs.
Lesson options
Kids swimming lessons
Children's lessons can develop safe entry and exit habits, breath control, floating, kicking, recovery skills and age-appropriate stroke foundations. The coach should choose an approved area based on height, confidence and previous experience.
Parents should share the child's age and relevant medical, sensory or communication needs. Young children require active supervision. Progress varies, so no fixed number of lessons should be guaranteed.
Adult beginner lessons
Adult beginners may work gradually on breathing, balance, floating, recovery to standing and short movements before combining complete strokes. Private instruction can provide individual pacing and focused feedback.
Tell the instructor about injuries, exercise restrictions or difficult water experiences. Obtain appropriate professional advice where a health condition could affect safe participation.
Ladies swimming lessons
Learners may request a female swimming instructor for comfort, privacy, cultural preference or safeguarding considerations. Availability depends on requested timing, estate access, location coverage and instructor schedules.
The pools are shared residential facilities. A female-coach request does not create a private or women-only swimming environment.
Stroke correction and fitness
Water-confident swimmers may work on freestyle, breaststroke, backstroke, body position, breathing, turns, pacing and efficiency. The stated 25m length can help structure repeats, although the actual usable course may be affected by other residents and management restrictions.
The coach should verify a clear route and appropriate depth for each drill.
Private and small-group formats
Private lessons provide focused feedback and flexible progression. Small groups may suit siblings, relatives or residents with similar ability and goals.
Group size should follow estate rules and allow safe sightlines and individual attention. Large mixed-level groups may occupy too much shared space and can be difficult to supervise.
Resident and management checks
Before paying for recurring lessons, ask management:
- whether external swimming instructors are permitted;
- whether identification, registration or insurance documents are required;
- whether the resident must escort or accompany the coach;
- which pool and hours may be used for lessons;
- whether teaching aids such as kickboards are allowed;
- whether advance booking or a facility fee applies; and
- how closures, complaints or busy-pool conditions are handled.
Written confirmation is preferable where the policy is unclear. SwimmingClasses.sg and an assigned instructor cannot override security procedures or estate by-laws.
Scheduling and shared-pool etiquette
Observe the lap pool at the intended lesson time before selecting a recurring slot. Evenings, weekends and school holidays may be busy, but actual usage should be checked rather than assumed.
The instructor should keep equipment tidy, use only the space needed and preserve access to pool steps, decks and leisure settings. A session may need to pause, relocate or finish if resident traffic makes instruction unsafe or disruptive.
Lesson duration and frequency should reflect age, confidence, attention, fitness and goals. Consistency helps, but the timetable must remain compatible with estate operations and family commitments.
Weather and elevated-facility safety
Outdoor lessons must stop during lightning warnings and whenever heavy rain, wind or poor visibility creates unsafe conditions. Learners should leave the water promptly and follow on-site instructions.
The rooftop jacuzzi area may be more exposed to wind and an elevated edge, reinforcing why it should not be treated as a lesson pool. Maintenance, water treatment or resident events may also cause closures.
Agree on weather, cancellation and rescheduling terms before payment. Safety decisions should never be overridden to complete a booked session.
Fees and booking expectations
Fees vary by private or group format, duration, learner level, frequency, instructor experience and travel requirements. Request a current quotation explaining package validity, payment timing, cancellations and any assessment charge.
Confirm management approval before purchasing multiple lessons. A completed development with several water features does not automatically provide an authorised coaching slot.
SwimSafer preparation
Families interested in SwimSafer may ask whether the instructor provides programme-aligned preparation and where formal assessment takes place. Mont Botanik Residence should not be described as an official assessment venue unless independently verified.
Condo lessons may support relevant confidence and stroke skills, while registration and formal assessment may occur elsewhere.
Frequently asked questions
Does Mont Botanik Residence have a 25m pool?
Yes. The archived project site plan labels a 25m Lap Pool. Current usable distance and conditions should still be checked on site.
Can children learn in the Kid's Pool?
Potentially, if management permits lessons and an instructor confirms that the completed depth and layout suit the child's height and confidence.
Is the Fun Pool suitable for lessons?
Not automatically. The waterwall and play-oriented use may interrupt clear swimming space, so specific permission and assessment are needed.
Can lessons use the rooftop infinity pool?
The brochure describes it as an Infinity Jacuzzi Enclave Pool. It should be treated as a relaxation feature rather than a conventional lesson pool.
Is the Entrance Reflecting Pool swimmable?
It should not be represented as a swimming facility. Reflecting pools are decorative landscape features.
Can a non-resident instructor enter?
Only if current visitor and facility rules permit. The resident may need to register, escort or remain with the instructor.
Evidence and review note
Completion, developer identity and project size were reviewed against URA's 1Q 2023 completion annex. The 25m Lap Pool, Kid's Pool, Fun Pool with Waterwall, Entrance Reflecting Pool and rooftop Infinity Jacuzzi Enclave Pool were reviewed against the original Mont Botanik Residence brochure and contemporaneous project fact sheet on 26 August 2026. These sources do not establish current coaching permission, pool depth or exclusive lesson space.
