Neu at Novena Swimming Lessons for Kids and Adults

Neu at Novena is a completed freehold condominium at 27 Moulmein Rise in District 11. URA records completion in the fourth quarter of 2024 under RH Novena Pte Ltd, while project material identifies 87 residences in one tower.
The original brochure identifies a first-storey 25m Lap Pool integrated with a Pool Cove and Hammock Pool. A separate 14th-storey terrace contains a Starlight Infinity Pool, Sunken Spa Pod and Aqua Gym. These facilities serve different purposes.
Quick answer
Residents may enquire about private or small-group lessons for children, adults, ladies, beginners and stroke improvement. The first-storey 25m Lap Pool is the clearest setting, subject to management permission, access and assessment.
The upper-level Starlight Infinity Pool may support selected instruction only after its depth, route, weather exposure and shared-use conditions are checked. Lounge, spa and exercise water should not substitute automatically.
Understanding the first-storey pools
25m Lap Pool
The brochure expressly labels a 25m Lap Pool. It may support water confidence, breathing, stroke development, turns and measured fitness repeats when an approved clear section is available.
The stated length does not establish competition certification, lanes, uniform depth or exclusive space. An instructor should inspect entries, exits, depth signs and the completed route.
Pool Cove and Hammock Pool
The brochure describes the lap pool and Pool Cove as smoothly integrated and presents the Hammock Pool as a place to lounge, splash and relax. Physical connection does not make the entire water body suitable for stroke instruction.
Hammocks, seating or leisure traffic may interrupt swimming. Keep conventional drills within an approved lap-pool section.
Wet Deck and Children's Adventure Cove
Project facilities material identifies a 1.2m Wet Deck. That label should not be confused with a 1.2m water depth; it is presented as the name of a deck feature, not a verified depth measurement.
The Children's Adventure Cove is a play environment, not a conventional children's pool. Its equipment may make it unsuitable for instruction.
Understanding the 14th-storey facilities
Starlight Infinity Pool
The Starlight Infinity Pool occupies the upper sky terrace. It may support selected swimming when current rules permit and the completed route, depth and edge design suit the learner.
No length is published. Elevated exposure and leisure use may limit recurring lessons.
Sunken Spa Pod and Aqua Gym
The Sunken Spa Pod may contain seating, jets or warmer water, while the Aqua Gym may contain exercise features. These can interfere with balance, breathing, stroke movement and communication.
Neither should be promoted for ordinary learn-to-swim or lap training. Specialist therapeutic or aqua activity requires appropriate professional scope and permission.
Lesson options
Kids swimming lessons
Children can develop safe entry and exit, bubbles, breath control, floating, kicking, recovery skills and age-appropriate stroke foundations. The instructor must match activities to the child's height, confidence and verified pool depth.
Parents should disclose relevant medical, sensory or communication needs. No fixed lesson count should be guaranteed.
The Adventure Cove and Hammock Pool should not be assumed to provide a formal shallow teaching pool.
Adult beginner lessons
Adult beginners may work gradually on breathing, balance, floating, recovery to standing, propulsion and coordinated movements. Private coaching can provide individual pacing and focused feedback.
Tell the instructor about injuries, restrictions or difficult water experiences. An unsuitable depth or layout may require another venue.
Ladies swimming lessons
Learners may request a female swimming instructor for comfort, privacy, cultural preference or safeguarding considerations. Assignment depends on timing, estate access, location coverage and coach availability.
Both facility decks remain shared residential spaces. A female-coach request does not create a private or women-only environment.
Stroke correction and fitness
Water-confident swimmers may work on freestyle, breaststroke, backstroke, body position, breathing, turns, pacing and efficiency. The stated 25m length can support structured repeats after the coach verifies the clear route.
Other residents retain equal access. Drills should be adjusted if the Pool Cove, leisure users or configuration interrupt the course, and competition conditions should not be assumed.
Private and small-group formats
Private lessons provide focused feedback and flexible progression. Small groups may suit residents with similar ability, goals and water confidence.
Group size must follow estate rules and preserve safe sightlines. Large mixed-level groups may obstruct residents or become difficult to supervise across connected water areas.
Resident and management checks
Before paying for recurring lessons, ask the managing agent or MCST:
- whether external swimming instructors are currently permitted;
- whether identification, registration or insurance documents are required;
- whether a resident must register, escort or remain with the coach;
- which pool and hours may be used for instruction;
- whether floats, kickboards or other teaching aids are allowed;
- whether booking or a facility fee applies; and
- how closures, complaints and crowded conditions are handled.
Written confirmation is preferable where policy is unclear. SwimmingClasses.sg and an assigned coach cannot override security procedures or estate by-laws.
Multi-level access and supervision
The first-storey and 14th-storey facilities are on separate levels. Learners should not move between them during a session unless the access route, permissions and supervision plan are clear.
Children must remain supervised around lifts, wet decks, pool lounges, play areas and sky-terrace edges. Equipment should remain clear of circulation and emergency routes.
Scheduling and shared-pool etiquette
Observe the intended pool at the proposed lesson time before selecting a weekly slot. Evenings, weekends and school holidays may be busy, but actual use should be checked rather than assumed.
The instructor should occupy only the space needed, keep equipment tidy and preserve access to entries and decks. A session may need to pause, relocate or end if conditions become unsafe or disruptive.
Weather and safety
Outdoor and elevated facilities may be exposed to lightning, rain, wind, glare and heat. Lessons must stop during lightning warnings or whenever visibility, deck grip or water conditions become unsafe.
Everyone should leave the water promptly and follow on-site announcements. Maintenance, water treatment, contamination or resident events may close a pool. Agree on cancellation and rescheduling terms before payment.
Fees and booking expectations
Fees vary with private or group format, duration, learner level, frequency, instructor experience and travel requirements. Request a current quotation explaining package validity, payment timing, cancellations and any assessment charge.
Confirm management approval before purchasing multiple lessons. Multiple pools do not automatically provide an authorised coaching slot.
SwimSafer preparation
Families interested in SwimSafer may ask whether the instructor offers programme-aligned preparation and where formal assessment takes place. Neu at Novena should not be described as an official SwimSafer assessment venue unless independently verified.

Evidence and review note
Completion and developer identity were reviewed against URA's 4Q 2024 completion annex. The 87-residence count and first-storey 25m Lap, Pool Cove and Hammock Pool plus 14th-storey Starlight Infinity Pool, Sunken Spa Pod and Aqua Gym were reviewed against the original Neu at Novena brochure and project facilities material on 26 August 2026.
