Queens Swimming Lessons

Queens is a completed 722-home condominium at Stirling Road in Queenstown. URA-derived data, current project records and MCST records support its three residential towers, development by Queenstown Peak Pte Ltd and completion in 2002.
Residents may enquire about kids, adult, ladies, beginner, private or compatible small-group swimming lessons. A preserved Queens resident handbook explicitly identifies swimming, children's and fun pools. Current conditions, dimensions, depths, rules and permission for paid external coaching still require verification.
Quick answer
The verified main swimming pool is the first teaching candidate after management approval and an instructor's on-site assessment. Confirm the continuous route, dependable recovery walls, current depths, exits and resident circulation before recurring lessons.
Children's, fun, wading, bubble, jacuzzi, water-wall, rain-curtain, koi-pond, feature, decorative and private water are excluded from lessons, waiting and overflow use. No lane, quiet period or exclusive use is promised.
Three residential towers and a clubhouse address
URA-derived residential data identifies 10, 12 and 16 Stirling Road, with postal codes 148954, 148955 and 148957. Preserved project material describes three 38-storey residential towers.
Current MCST records place the management office and Queens Clubhouse at 14 Stirling Road, postal code 148956. That address is not another residential tower.
Residents should provide their exact residential tower, authorised entrance, visitor-registration process and clubhouse or pool meeting point. An instructor should not assume that the management-office entrance is the resident-access route.
Management and external-coach permission
Current BCA-derived records identify active MCST Plan 2748. The preserved handbook supports the management-office location and historical facility categories, but current by-laws and access procedures must be rechecked.
Ask whether the named paid instructor and proposed format are permitted. Confirm visitor identification, qualifications, insurance, resident accompaniment, participant limits, approved hours, equipment, photography and the authorised pool section.
A resident invitation, enquiry form or payment does not grant entry, reserve water space or override by-laws. Security may require current approval for every visit. If permission is unavailable, choose another authorised venue.
First-session main-pool assessment
Before recurring lessons, verify:
- approval for the named instructor and arrangement;
- exact residential tower, entrance and internal route;
- the correct main pool and teaching section;
- present usable distance, depths and transitions;
- starting and turning walls or clear boundaries;
- lane markings, obstructions and resident circulation;
- steps, ladders, ledges and dependable recovery points;
- separation from recreational and decorative water;
- deck grip, drainage, glare and water clarity;
- current maintenance notices and water condition;
- lightning shelter and evacuation route; and
- emergency contacts and supervision requirements.
Stop when weather, crowding, poor visibility, water condition or management instructions make coaching unsafe. A historical handbook is not a present safety inspection.
What the resident handbook supports
The preserved Queens handbook contains a section for swimming, children's and fun pools. It also identifies the management office at the clubhouse.
The estate-specific document establishes the historical facilities, but not today's layout, opening status, depths or external-coach rules.
Current secondary records also identify swimming and wading pools. The main swimming pool should be assessed first, while all other water remains excluded by default.
Recreational and decorative water safeguards
Preserved project-style descriptions refer to fun-pool jets, while secondary facility lists mention wading, bubble, jacuzzi, water-wall, rain-curtain and koi-pond areas.
These names indicate different uses and geometries. Jets, bubbles, falling water, shallow transitions, seating or fish habitats can create unsuitable teaching conditions.
Children's, fun, wading, bubble, jacuzzi, water-wall, rain-curtain, koi-pond, feature, decorative and private water must not be used for lessons, play, waiting or overflow unless a distinct section is explicitly authorised and independently assessed.
No promotional superlatives
Some preserved property copy calls the estate's pool one of Singapore's best. That is subjective promotional language and is not repeated as fact.
This page makes no claim about ranking, luxury, competition status, pool length, lane count or superiority over other venues. Suitability depends on the learner, current configuration, estate rules and on-site safety conditions.
Kids swimming lessons
Young beginners may practise safe entry, bubbles, face immersion, supported floating, kicking and returning to a reachable wall. The selected section must suit the child's height, confidence, communication needs and recovery ability.
Early practice should use a short visible route near a dependable exit in a verified depth. A named children's or fun pool is not automatically a teaching area.
School-age learners may progress through freestyle and backstroke coordination, breaststroke timing, treading water and practical self-rescue. Confident swimmers can use measured repeats and turns when the route remains clear.
Parents should disclose medical, sensory, behavioural or learning needs and supervise siblings who are not participating.
Adult beginner and stroke coaching
Adult beginners can start with calm exhalation, balance, floating, standing recovery and short independent movement near a reliable exit. Nervous learners may repeat small stages before increasing distance or depth.
Water-confident adults may refine alignment, catch, rotation, breathing rhythm, breaststroke timing, turns, pacing and fitness. Repeats should use the route measured that day rather than an assumed length.
Tell the instructor about injuries, mobility restrictions, exercise limits, medical advice and water anxiety.
Ladies and female-instructor requests
Ladies may request a female instructor for comfort, privacy, cultural preference or safeguarding. Matching depends on instructor availability, Queenstown coverage, timing and management approval.
The main pool remains shared. A female coach does not create a women-only session or guarantee visual privacy. Swimwear and equipment must comply with current estate rules while allowing safe movement.
Private and compatible small-group formats
One-to-one lessons provide focused feedback and flexible pacing. “Private” describes the coaching format; it does not reserve a lane or pool section.
Small groups may suit compatible siblings, couples or neighbours with similar confidence, goals and safe working depths. Reduce the group if crowding, mixed ability or poor sightlines require closer supervision.
Everyone should remain in one visible, approved main-pool zone. Recreational and decorative water must not be used for overflow.
Scheduling in a 722-home estate
Residents can propose weekday or weekend times after checking pool hours, cleaning, maintenance and normal demand. Estate size makes shared-space planning important, but 722 homes do not prove that a particular period will be crowded.
No recurring slot, quiet period, dedicated lane or exclusive use is guaranteed. If resident traffic interrupts the route or safe separation cannot be maintained, shorten the repeat, pause or reschedule.
Singapore lightning and heavy rain require prompt suspension and movement to approved shelter. Written terms should cover weather, maintenance, denied entry, closure and late arrival.
Fees and SwimSafer preparation
Fees depend on duration, format, participant count, instructor match, travel and access requirements. No Queens-specific price is invented. Review the fees and rates guide and request a written quotation after access appears feasible.
Terms should cover illness, weather, maintenance, notice periods, credits and package expiry. Payment does not grant management approval or exclusive pool use.
Lessons may support SwimSafer preparation, but Queens is not represented as an assessment or certification venue.
Frequently asked questions
Does Queens have a swimming pool?
Yes. The preserved Queens resident handbook identifies swimming, children's and fun pools. Current configuration and condition require verification.
Are there three or four residential blocks?
There are three residential addresses in the URA-derived row. The fourth Stirling Road address is the clubhouse and management office, not evidence of another residential tower.
Can lessons use the fun or children's pool?
No. Children's, fun, wading, bubble and jacuzzi water are excluded by default.
Can an external coach enter?
Only when current management permits the named instructor and arrangement. Confirm before booking.
Is the pool one of Singapore's best?
That is promotional opinion, not an objective or verified fact. This page makes no ranking claim.
