Sora Swimming Lessons Planning Guide

Sora Swimming Lessons

Sora is an uncompleted private condominium at Yuan Ching Road beside Jurong Lake Gardens. URA lists it among uncompleted projects with development approval. The housing-developer brochure identifies Lakeside Residential Pte Ltd and states expected vacant possession on 31 October 2028.

The project plans a 50-metre Serenity Pool at 1.2 metres depth, a 29-metre Family Pool at 1.2 metres and a kids' pool at 0.3 metres. This guide is for future planning only: Sora and its pools are not operational, and no present lesson or access approval is claimed.

Quick answer

The planned 50-metre Serenity Pool is the likely future setting for structured lessons. Its intended length may support progressive stroke work and repeat swimming after the completed pool is assessed.

The published 1.2-metre depth may be suitable for some independent children and adults but may prevent a short or anxious beginner from standing comfortably. Numeric depth is useful evidence, not a complete safety assessment.

Verified and provisional facts

URA verifies Sora's current uncompleted, approved status. The housing-developer brochure establishes the project company, Yuan Ching Road identity, possession date and planned facility schedule.

The selected sources do not prove actual TOP, pool opening, completed walls, formal lanes, water clarity, operating hours or permission for paid external coaches. Artist impressions cannot establish final conditions.

Choosing between the planned pools

The 50-metre Serenity Pool is the primary candidate for lessons. The 29-metre Family Pool shares the same planned 1.2-metre depth but may carry more recreational traffic. The 0.3-metre kids' pool is a shallow play setting rather than an automatic teaching pool.

After handover, inspect:

  • actual completed depths and transitions;
  • stable walls and reliable recovery points;
  • steps, ladders, ledges and overflow edges;
  • swimmer crossings between family and lap areas;
  • visibility around landscaping and pavilions;
  • lake-facing glare and wind exposure;
  • caregiver waiting space; and
  • lightning, maintenance and closure procedures.

No published dimension guarantees a reserved lane.

Future kids swimming lessons

Young beginners may work on breathing, face immersion, floating, wall recovery, kicking and short movement only after confirming that the 1.2-metre setting suits their height, confidence and ability to recover at an edge.

If standing is important to the learner's safety or confidence, another venue may be preferable. The 0.3-metre kids' pool should not be used simply because it is shallow; play traffic, features and limited swimming distance may reduce control.

Independent children may progress to freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, breathing coordination and repeat lengths. Parents remain responsible for direct handover and supervision outside lesson time.

Future adult and ladies lessons

Adult beginners may practise relaxed exhalation, balance, floating, recovery and short swims after assessment. Learners uncomfortable in 1.2 metres should disclose this during enquiry.

Intermediate adults may use the completed 50-metre path for alignment, breathing efficiency, turns and repeat swimming if shared conditions permit. The 29-metre family pool may support shorter drills but should not be assumed quiet.

A female instructor may be requested, subject to future Jurong coverage, residential access, schedule and availability. A women-only environment cannot be guaranteed.

Private and small-group formats

Private lessons may suit anxious beginners and focused correction. Small groups may suit siblings, couples or neighbours with compatible abilities and supervision needs.

Group size must reflect completed visibility, pool traffic and management rules. Sora's extensive facilities do not create an exclusive teaching lane.

Jurong Lake Gardens boundary

Sora's long frontage overlooks Jurong Lake Gardens, but the lake, park waterways and public gardens are not residential pools or ordinary swimming-lesson venues. Public park access must not be confused with permission to enter Sora's private facilities.

After handover, the hosting resident should confirm the approved entrance, visitor registration, identification and escort rules, and whether paid external coaching is permitted. A side gate facing public parkland is not an automatic coach entrance.

Ground and rooftop distinction

The main pools are planned at ground level, while Sky360 rooftop areas contain social, garden, work and relaxation facilities. Rooftop ponds, lookout spaces and landscaped features are not substitute teaching pools.

The instructor and caregiver should use only the approved route to the operational main pool deck.

Timing and handover verification

Expected vacant possession is not actual TOP or pool opening. Residents should not purchase a Sora-specific package until lawful access begins, the pool is operational, management permission is confirmed and the instructor has assessed the setting.

Verify final pool names, lengths, depths, walls, steps, ladders and deck notices. If completed conditions differ from project material, the programme and page should follow actual conditions.

Weather, fees and SwimSafer

The planned pools appear outdoors and may be affected by lightning, heavy rain, wind, lake-facing glare and maintenance closures. Written terms should cover notice, credits, make-ups, expiry and access-related cancellations.

Fees will depend on future format, instructor coverage, travel and estate rules. This page does not invent a Sora price. See SwimmingClasses.sg fees and rates for the present framework.

Future lessons may build breathing control, floating, safe entry, rotation and wall recovery. They will not automatically issue SwimSafer certification; formal assessment arrangements must be confirmed separately.
