Thomson Vale Swimming Lessons

This is an illustrative swimming-lesson photograph, not a view of Thomson Vale or proof of the pool's present state.
Live at Thomson Vale and considering a lesson in your building? This guide is for residents of the small apartment development at *323 Thomson Road, Singapore 307666*. It explains the evidence for a listed swimming pool, the important gap in that evidence, and what needs to happen before a child or adult can safely start coaching there.
SwimmingClasses.sg does not claim an established class, pool booking or permission to bring an instructor into Thomson Vale. Please first check the current rules with the managing agent or MCST. We can then discuss a suitable learner plan if the pool is open, management allows outside teaching, and an instructor is available.
A small Novena development with a precise address
The saved URA-derived residential layer records *10 dwellings* for Thomson Vale at postcode 307666. 99.co's Thomson Vale project page identifies 323 Thomson Road, 10 units, freehold tenure, Wah Khiaw Properties Pte Ltd and a 2002 completion label. PropertyGuru's project page describes the same development. The address and postcode matter more than a generic result for “Thomson” swimming.
Do not confuse the building with *The Thomson Duplex at 323B Thomson Road, Singapore 307668*. The two addresses are distinct. A feature shown for The Thomson Duplex is not automatically present or available at Thomson Vale. Thomson Euro-Asia, Thomson 800 and other nearby buildings are also separate estates.
With only 10 homes, a shared pool may feel more personal, but low density does not guarantee an empty lane, a shallow teaching area or relaxed visitor rules. In fact, management may have specific limits to protect quiet use. Those rules must guide any lesson plan.
Why we ask for direct pool confirmation
99.co lists a swimming pool for the exact Thomson Vale project. PropertyGuru's exact-project facilities also show a pool, and a current PropertyGuru listing at 323 Thomson Road labels a swimming pool as a common facility. A separate exact-address estate directory entry lists one too, but expressly says that its service is independent of management. These are useful signals, not a management statement about current operation.
There is a material conflict: EdgeProp's exact-project interface currently shows *zero facilities. That could reflect incomplete portal data, but we cannot decide from the listings alone whether the pool is operational now. We therefore present Thomson Vale as a pool-supported enquiry candidate*, not an already-approved coaching location.
Ask management whether the swimming pool exists in its current operating layout, whether it is open, and whether outside instructors are permitted. A dated photograph or an agent listing is not a substitute for the estate's current answer. If the pool is closed or coaching is disallowed, we can consider an alternative approved venue.
The available records do not verify present depth, length, unobstructed distance, water clarity, lane markings, lifeguard coverage or an exclusive teaching space. Nor do they establish a separate wading pool or Jacuzzi. We will not infer these from a neighbouring building or from a generic list of “condo facilities”.
A practical enquiry sequence
Before sending an enquiry, residents can use this short sequence:
- Confirm with the managing agent or MCST that Thomson Vale's pool is presently usable.
- Ask whether a visiting swimming instructor may teach a resident, and whether credentials, registration or accompanying-resident rules apply.
- Check permitted lesson times, any limits on equipment or groups, and any upcoming closure notices.
- Tell us the learner's ability, preferred times and access needs so we can assess an appropriate format.
- Let the instructor inspect the approved pool area before promising a regular programme.
There is no reason to disclose an access card, door code or unnecessary personal document in the enquiry form. Management should arrange visitor entry through its normal process. SwimmingClasses.sg cannot confer pool rights or override a posted rule.
Children at a shared residential pool
For a young or nervous beginner, useful early outcomes are calm entry, listening near water, blowing bubbles, supported floating and recovering to a secure position. A child should not be pushed toward a distance target before the instructor has checked depth changes, visibility and safe exit points.
Parents can describe what the child already does comfortably: playing near the edge, putting their face in, floating with support, or swimming a short distance. That helps the coach design an initial assessment. The coach may decide that the available pool position is unsuitable for a particular child and recommend another location.
An older child who swims independently may work on breath timing, body balance or stroke coordination. A small estate pool can still have other residents using it; long repetitions are not promised. The instructor should adapt the drill to a clear path and give other users room.
If the aim is SwimSafer, tell us the current stage and which skills need attention. Practice can support progression when a venue is safe and authorised, but this page does not state that Thomson Vale is an official SwimSafer assessment venue or that every required distance fits its pool.
Adult lessons and returning swimmers
An adult who is learning from scratch may want one-to-one support for water orientation, breathing and floating. The first step is to learn a dependable way to regain standing or reach the edge. Progress can be gradual, with each new task chosen after the instructor sees how the learner responds.
For someone who can already swim, a session might concentrate on one issue, such as relaxed exhalation, front-crawl rhythm or breaststroke timing. We would not set a “lap training” plan based on an unverified pool length. If the pool is short or busy, compact technique work may be more productive than counting lengths.
Please mention mobility constraints, strong water anxiety or relevant medical advice before a session. A coach can adapt instruction but cannot provide medical clearance. If a step-free route is needed, ask management to verify access from the permitted entrance to the pool and suitable changing or toilet arrangements. We do not claim Thomson Vale has barrier-free pool entry.
Choosing private or small-group coaching
Private teaching offers the instructor more time to observe one learner and change the pace. That can be valuable when the pool's usable area is limited or a child needs close supervision. It is still subject to resident-sharing rules, not an entitlement to reserve a section.
Siblings or two resident friends may ask about a shared session. We would compare their swimming ability, confidence and attention before accepting that format. Two learners at very different stages may need separate sessions so that neither is left waiting or inadequately supervised.
No fixed maximum group size is stated here. Safe numbers depend on the actual water area, current depth, other users, management's rules and the instructor's ability to watch each learner. A requested group may be declined if those conditions are not met.
Timing, fees and a first visit
Tell us two or three possible weekday or weekend windows. We cannot advertise a Thomson Vale schedule until the estate's operating hours, coach access and instructor availability have been checked. A quiet-looking time in a property photograph says nothing about current resident traffic.
The swimming class fees page gives general price guidance. An actual quote depends on lesson type, participant count and current service terms. Please do not make a payment based on an assumed approval to teach at the estate.
At the first permitted visit, the instructor should observe safe entry and exit, the learner's standing and floating options, the usable path, and what other residents are doing. A lesson can be postponed or moved if visibility, crowding, closure notices or estate directions make the planned activity unsuitable.
Resident questions
Is the pool definitely open for lessons?
No. Multiple exact-address sources list a swimming pool, but EdgeProp's zero-facility display conflicts with them and none proves present operation or coaching permission. Management confirmation is required.
Can someone living at 323B Thomson Road use this guide?
No. 323B is The Thomson Duplex, with separate project identity and rules. Use the exact development name and postcode in your enquiry so a coach does not prepare for the wrong estate.
Is there a shallow children's area?
We found no dependable exact-project evidence for a distinct wading pool or a specific shallow depth. The coach must check an appropriate teaching position before accepting a beginner.
Can we book a weekly slot straight away?
You can request a preferred schedule, but a recurring booking follows only after access, pool operation, safe suitability and instructor availability are confirmed.
Will other residents still be able to swim?
Yes. The page does not promise exclusive use. A lesson must respect ordinary shared-pool access and any limits set by management.
Enquire about Thomson Vale swimming lessons
In the form below, write *Thomson Vale, 323 Thomson Road*, the swimmer's age or adult status, present ability, goal, preferred days and any access needs. The submission starts a discussion; it is not a confirmed class. We will ask for management and pool checks before offering a plan.

This page was reviewed on *28 September 2026* against the saved URA-derived dwelling layer, 99.co's project page, PropertyGuru's project page, its exact-address rental listing, and EdgeProp's exact-project record. The conflicting facilities presentation and lack of current management confirmation are material limitations.
