Residents at *Tomlinson Heights, 31 Tomlinson Road, Singapore 247855*, can enquire about a swimming lesson subject to the estate's present rules and a pool assessment. This is a completed 70-home high-rise development with a documented swimming pool. A page about the pool does not mean SwimmingClasses.sg already has an approved coach, a booking or a right to enter the property.

The name matters: *The Tomlinson* is a separate condominium. Park Nova and Four Seasons Park are different projects too. Give the full Tomlinson Heights address in the form so the enquiry is assessed for the correct estate.

The evidence for this exact development

The BCA Construction Excellence Awards account describes a 36-storey, 70-unit residential building with a swimming pool and communal facilities at 31 Tomlinson Road. A 2014 Hotel Properties Limited circular and valuation extract names the same address and lists a swimming pool, play pool or children's pool, Jacuzzi and changing rooms among development facilities.

HPL also disclosed that Tomlinson Heights obtained a Temporary Occupation Permit during the quarter ended 31 March 2014. Some current property portals display a later completion label. That difference should not be flattened into a made-up TOP day; the contemporaneous company disclosure is the basis for calling the project completed.

These records establish the project and its historically reported water features. They do not tell us which basins are open now, who may coach, how a visitor enters, how deep the water is or whether a lifeguard is present.

Choosing the appropriate pool area

The main swimming pool is the first area to assess for stroke teaching and adult learning. A coach needs to see the depth profile, entry and exit points, clear swimming path, resident traffic and visibility before proposing drills. Neither BCA nor HPL gives a dependable current length or lane layout, so this page does not call it a standard training course.

The reported children's or play pool may help some young learners practise water familiarity, but only if its current shape, depth transitions and rules fit that child. A shallow label is not a substitute for supervision. A child who cannot recover to a safe position needs close attention regardless of the basin name.

The Jacuzzi is not included as a swimming-lesson venue. It was listed as a separate amenity in the 2014 extract; that does not make it suitable for kicking, floating or stroke work. A coach should not move instruction there merely because the main pool is busy.

What a first visit would settle

A first lesson is best framed as an assessment, not a prewritten distance programme. The coach can agree a safe starting location with the swimmer, decide where a parent should remain, and see whether the pool has enough clear space for the proposed activity. Changing facilities named in an older report do not prove current access for visiting coaches.

For a child who is new to water, a useful beginning could be calm entry, breathing, turning back to an edge and a supported float. A child already comfortable in water may work on coordinating a kick with breathing or moving a short controlled distance. The sequence must match how the child responds, not the project's luxury positioning.

Adults who are anxious in water may want a private conversation about goals before the session. The instructor can start with breath control, balance and recovery in an appropriate part of the main pool. More confident adults can ask about body alignment, freestyle breathing or breaststroke timing; the available route determines whether continuous laps are sensible.

A sibling lesson may work if abilities and attention needs are compatible. If one swimmer needs constant close support while another moves away, the coach may recommend separate sessions. The presence of a children's pool does not solve that supervision problem by itself.

Entry and management permission

Ask current management whether a resident may invite an outside swimming instructor, whether registration or written approval is required, and whether there are restrictions on teaching times, group size or equipment. At a guarded residential high-rise, a resident's invitation should not be treated as proof of an unrestricted coaching right.

Confirm the authorised entrance, any visitor procedure and the route from the lift or lobby to the approved pool area. If someone needs step-free access, management should check the exact gates, lifts, changing access, deck levels and emergency egress. This page does not promise a barrier-free route.

Other residents retain normal use of shared water. No exclusive lane, pool closure or priority is implied by a paid private lesson. If traffic, lightning, poor visibility, water quality or a posted closure makes the activity unsuitable, the coach should shorten, change, postpone or stop it.

No current lifeguard coverage was established from the reviewed records. Parents and carers should follow the coach's supervision instructions and not rely on flotation aids as replacements for active attention.

Timing, fees and the enquiry

Tell us several possible weekday or weekend windows. Instructor coverage and the estate's rules must be checked before a time can be confirmed. The preferred hour may also need to change after the coach sees how the shared pool is used.

Include the learner's age, current ability and goal; whether the enquiry is individual or for siblings; the full development address; and whether management has approved an external coach. Mention a relevant mobility or support need without sending gate codes, identity documents or unnecessary sensitive records.

General pricing is described in the swimming lesson fees guide. Submission of the form below is an enquiry, not an accepted booking, a price quote, guaranteed access or a promise of results.

Questions from Tomlinson Heights residents

Is a swimming pool documented at the estate?

Yes. The BCA award record expressly includes a swimming pool at 31 Tomlinson Road. Present operating conditions still need estate confirmation.

Is there a children's pool?

The 2014 HPL valuation extract lists a play pool or children's pool. A coach must assess its present suitability rather than promise a lesson there from that historical description.

Could lessons use the Jacuzzi?

No. It is a separate amenity, not the proposed swimming-teaching area.

Is Tomlinson Heights the same as The Tomlinson?

No. These are separate developments; this guide concerns Tomlinson Heights at 31 Tomlinson Road.

Can a non-resident book the pool?

This page makes no public-access claim. Current management requirements and an authorised resident host determine whether a visiting instructor may attend.
