Union Square Residences Swimming Lessons: Future Planning Guide

Union Square Residences Swimming Lessons

Union Square Residences is a mixed-use development at 28 Havelock Road. CDL launched the 366-unit residence in November 2024. Its factsheet states expected vacant possession on 15 March 2031.

The residential pools are not currently available for lessons. This planning page does not claim TOP, handover, management permission or present instructor access.

Quick answer

CDL plans a 30-metre lap pool, Wellness Pool and Aqua Gym on Level 3, plus a Sky Pool on Level 34. The lap pool may eventually support structured drills. The wellness, aqua-gym and elevated sky settings require separate assessment and should not be treated as interchangeable lesson venues.

Future residents may register interest, then reconfirm after handover.

Project status and timing

The first-party factsheet provides the expected vacant-possession date of 15 March 2031. This is a forecast, not a guaranteed lesson-start date.

SwimmingClasses.sg should verify official completion, pool operation and resident rules before accepting an on-site booking. Construction schedules and management arrangements can change.

No future price, slot, access or instructor is reserved now.

Multi-level pool planning

The planned pool areas sit on different levels. The Social Vista on Level 3 includes the 30-metre lap pool, Aqua Gym and Wellness Pool. The Sky Pool is planned for Level 34.

An instructor should not split a lesson across levels. Lift travel, controlled access and emergency procedures can reduce supervision continuity. One approved pool should be selected before arrival.

The 30-metre lap pool may support repeatable drills, while the Sky Pool's elevated setting, actual edge configuration, depth and wind exposure must be assessed after completion. Wellness and aqua-gym facilities may include jets or specialised features.

Future kids swimming lessons

Young beginners may eventually practise safe entry, bubbles, face immersion, floating, wall return, kicking and short propulsion. The instructor should select a stable, visible area based on actual depth and the child.

Independent children may develop freestyle breathing, backstroke alignment, breaststroke timing and repeatable short distances. A 30-metre pool can support progression without requiring every learner to swim its full length.

Parents will remain responsible for supervision outside lesson time.

Future adult and ladies lessons

Adult beginners may work on exhalation, balance, floating, recovery and controlled propulsion. Stronger adults may request technique, pacing or endurance after the completed pool is assessed.

A female instructor can be requested for comfort or cultural preference. Assignment depends on central-area coverage, future access and availability. Shared pools cannot be guaranteed private.

Private and small-group formats

Private lessons may suit nervous learners or focused correction. Small groups may suit compatible siblings, couples or neighbours.

Grouping should follow assessment. The instructor must see every learner and should never divide a group between the Level 3 and Level 34 pools.

Mixed-use access boundary

Union Square includes offices, retail, food outlets and co-living accommodation. Public access to these components does not establish access to private residential facilities.

After handover, residents should confirm:

  1. The approved residential visitor entrance and meeting level.
  2. Whether external instructors are permitted.
  3. Whether service-provider registration is required.
  4. Identification, credential or insurance requirements.
  5. Whether the resident must escort the instructor and remain present.
  6. Approved pool, times, equipment and group size.
  7. Lift, lightning, evacuation and maintenance procedures.

Private access details should be shared only with a confirmed instructor.

First-session assessment

The instructor should inspect actual depth, wall access, entries, steps, ledges, sightlines, wind exposure and resident traffic. Promotional descriptions are not substitutes for a physical assessment.

A beginner may demonstrate comfort, exhalation, floating, wall return, kicking and short propulsion. A stronger swimmer may demonstrate repeatable distances and technique.

The plan should name next skills without guaranteeing a fixed lesson count.

Lesson frequency and practice

Weekly lessons may provide continuity. Some learners may benefit from two sessions during a focused period. Frequency should reflect confidence, concentration, fatigue and safe practice opportunities.

After handover, parents can repeat assigned tasks under active supervision. Adult non-swimmers should not practise alone.

Shared-pool etiquette

Future lessons should avoid blocking entries, travel paths or large areas. Equipment must comply with management rules and coaching should remain considerate of residents.

If the selected level is crowded or closed, reschedule rather than switch floors without approval and a new assessment.

Weather and closures

Outdoor sessions must follow lightning warnings. Elevated conditions, heavy rain, poor visibility, maintenance or water treatment may require postponement.

Written terms should cover notice, credits, make-ups, package expiry and access changes.

Fees and future quotations

Future fees cannot responsibly be fixed before handover. They may eventually depend on format, duration, learner count, travel, package size and instructor arrangement.

See SwimmingClasses.sg fees and rates for present general guidance, not a guaranteed Union Square price.

SwimSafer and safety

Future condo lessons will not automatically be an official SwimSafer programme. Families seeking certification must verify instructor eligibility and assessment venue.

Wall return and calm recovery support safety but never replace active supervision.

Alternatives before completion

Families seeking lessons now should enquire about a currently approved venue. Do not enter construction areas, sales-gallery water features or unopened facilities.

Public-pool admission, schedules, coaching permission and SwimSafer arrangements must be checked separately.
