Vitra Swimming Lessons
Residents may enquire about Vitra swimming lessons at 170 Tembeling Road, Singapore 423679. The URA-derived residential universe and current exact-project records identify Vitra as a small freehold apartment development with 17 homes, developed by Novelty Investment or Novelty Investments Pte Ltd.
Current sources differ slightly on completion: current 99.co and PropertyGuru use 2009, while SRX and EdgeProp use 2008. This page preserves that variance instead of presenting either year as undisputed.
Current 99.co and PropertyGuru exact-project records list both a swimming pool and a wading pool, though their underlying facility data may overlap. EdgeProp reports zero facilities. Because of that conflict, every enquiry remains conditional on direct confirmation that the relevant pool is present, operational and available for instruction.
No dependable reviewed source establishes pool dimensions, depth, marked lanes, lifeguard coverage, public access or standing permission for external coaches. Residents should confirm current management rules before arranging any lesson.

Exact project identity
Vitra is the private apartment development at 170 Tembeling Road in District 15. The URA-derived record and the reviewed 99.co, PropertyGuru, SRX and EdgeProp pages align on the address, 17-unit scale and freehold tenure.
The developer name appears as Novelty Investment Pte Ltd on PropertyGuru and as Novelty Investments Pte Ltd on SRX and EdgeProp. This is treated as a source-label variation rather than evidence of two different projects.
Vitra should not be confused with Vetro on Mar Thoma Road, Vitraa on Lorong 28 Geylang, the international bathroom brand VitrA or other similarly named developments. Their addresses, facilities and management arrangements are unrelated.
The development's location near East Coast Road, Joo Chiat and Marine Parade does not make its facilities public. Any pool is a private residential amenity governed by the estate's current rules.
Swimming-pool evidence and limitations
The current 99.co Vitra page lists a swimming pool and wading pool. PropertyGuru also lists both facilities, but the entries may share source data. Their exact-project agreement supports a carefully qualified swimming-lesson enquiry page, not a claim of current operation.
The evidence is not uniform. EdgeProp's exact-project record displays zero facilities, while SRX provides project details without a facility list. The difference may reflect incomplete directory data, an older facility register or another source limitation. It does not prove that a pool is currently usable.
The wading-pool label appears on both portals, but it is still treated as a separate area that must be verified onsite rather than a promised teaching venue. Neither source establishes its present depth, condition or suitability for a particular learner.
Wading, Jacuzzi, spa, water-play, feature, decorative and private water areas are not treated as substitutes for the main swimming pool. Even if a wading area is present, it should be used only when management permits instruction and the instructor has assessed its depth, edges, circulation and line of sight for the specific learner.
No reviewed evidence establishes the swimming pool's length, width, depth profile, lane markings, access steps, water condition or present maintenance status. Marketing photos cannot replace an onsite assessment.
Checks required before a booking
An authorised resident should first ask the management council or managing agent whether the swimming pool is operating and whether paid external instruction is permitted. The answer may depend on instructor registration, visitor limits, resident accompaniment, advance notice, insurance, lesson timing and permitted equipment.
The resident should also establish whether the reported wading pool still exists, whether it is separately managed and whether teaching activity is allowed there. A label such as wading pool does not establish a uniform depth or suitability for every child.
Before the first session, the instructor should inspect the proposed water area. Relevant checks include entries and exits, visible depth markings, steps and ladders, deck condition, water clarity, obstructions, sightlines, other users and the available route for safe practice.
Maintenance, resident demand, private events, lightning procedures or temporary closures may change availability. Approval for one date should not be assumed to apply indefinitely.
The route from the authorised entrance to the pool should also be checked. Families who use a wheelchair, mobility aid or stroller should ask whether there is a continuous step-free route, whether any lift or gate is required, and whether the wet-deck entry is workable. No accessible route is promised on this page.
Do not send gate codes, access-card photographs, unit numbers, identity documents or other security credentials through the enquiry form. Access arrangements should be handled directly by the authorised resident under current estate procedures.
Children's swimming lessons
Young beginners may start with safe pool entry and exit, controlled bubbles, gradual face immersion, balance, supported floating, recovery to standing, kicking and short purposeful movement. Activities should follow the child's demonstrated confidence rather than an assumed syllabus pace.
If the reported wading pool is confirmed, its actual depth and layout must still be checked. A shallow-looking area can contain slopes, steps, water features or changing depths that make particular drills unsuitable.
Children with basic independence may progress to freestyle breathing, body alignment, breaststroke coordination, backstroke foundations and practical water-safety habits. Repetition lengths should match the clear usable route observed onsite.
A parent or responsible adult should remain available whenever required by the coach or estate rules. Flotation aids can support selected drills, but they never replace active supervision or the instructor's ability to reach the learner promptly.
When other residents enter the teaching area, the coach may shorten repetitions, change to stationary skills, move to another authorised position or pause the lesson. Shared access takes priority over a preset plan.
Adult beginner lessons
Adult beginners may work on water orientation, relaxed exhalation, buoyancy, floating, safe recovery to standing and short supported propulsion. Individual pacing can be especially useful for learners who are anxious, have had an earlier negative experience or are returning after a long break.
The instructor can break complex movements into manageable steps and explain why each drill is being used. Progress may initially be measured through calmer breathing, improved balance and repeatable control rather than distance.
Adults should disclose relevant medical advice, injuries, mobility restrictions or severe water anxiety before starting. Swimming instruction is not medical treatment, and a different venue or specialist support may be recommended if conditions are unsuitable.
Stroke development and fitness
Swimmers with basic water independence may focus on freestyle alignment, breathing timing, breaststroke sequencing, backstroke control, efficient kicking and turns suited to the available space.
Because no verified pool length or marked lane has been established, programmes should not promise standard-distance training. Time-based repeats, stroke counts, technique consistency and perceived effort can provide more reliable measures.
Fitness work should be introduced gradually. The coach should consider the learner's current conditioning, technique, recovery and the need to share the pool with residents.
No competitive, deep-water or diving suitability is claimed. Starts, entries and advanced drills should be used only when the actual depth, estate rules and instructor assessment support them.
Siblings and small resident groups
Sibling or small-group lessons may be considered when participants have compatible ages, confidence, behaviour and goals. The instructor must be able to see, reach and give useful feedback to every learner.
There is no universal maximum group size. Safe numbers depend on pool depth, usable space, learner differences, resident traffic, estate requirements and the instructor's professional judgement.
Mixed-ability swimmers may need separate tasks, different water positions or different lesson times. Combining learners only to reduce cost is inappropriate when it weakens supervision or productive practice.
Every participant must have authorised access. The resident host should confirm whether non-resident siblings, friends or other learners may enter and how all guests must be registered.
Lesson assessment and planning
Before dates and fees are finalised, the resident and instructor may review:
- the exact address at 170 Tembeling Road;
- the resident's authorised access;
- current operation of the swimming pool;
- whether the reported wading pool exists and is usable;
- management approval for an external instructor;
- visitor registration and accompaniment rules;
- actual depths, entries, exits and turning space;
- water clarity, deck condition and sightlines;
- resident traffic at the proposed time;
- lightning, rain and closure procedures;
- the learner's age, ability, confidence and goals; and
- permitted teaching aids and supervision needs.
This assessment connects directory evidence with current onsite conditions. It also allows the programme to be designed around the actual learner rather than generic assumptions about a development.
For the first session, the learner should arrive with suitable swimwear, a towel, drinking water and any instructor-approved equipment. The resident should allow time for visitor registration and show the instructor the authorised route without disclosing reusable security credentials. The instructor may shorten or stop the assessment if the facility, weather or access conditions differ materially from what was described.
For a child, the accompanying adult should explain any previous water incident, strong fear response, tendency to leave the teaching area or support need before entry. For an adult, useful context includes prior instruction, current confidence, stroke goals and any relevant professional medical advice. These details help the coach select a safe starting task; they do not guarantee that the onsite venue will be suitable.
Progression and realistic expectations
A beginner programme usually establishes breathing control, balance and safe recovery before adding propulsion. A developing swimmer may isolate kick, arm action or breathing before combining the full stroke.
Short successful attempts often build better control than forcing an assumed distance. The instructor may change the working area or drill whenever the pool becomes busier.
The first onsite lesson may alter the original plan. Depth, entry design, turning space, noise and other users can make exercises unsuitable even if they worked at another condominium.
Progress varies with attendance, practice, confidence, prior experience and continuing safe access. No fixed result, certification or completion date is guaranteed by submitting an enquiry.
Progress can be recorded through observable skills such as calm exhalation, independent recovery, controlled floating, repeatable streamline position, coordinated breathing and consistent stroke timing. Video should be used only with the learner's consent and in accordance with estate rules and the privacy of other residents.
Water safety and shared-pool etiquette
Any Vitra pool is a shared residential facility. Lessons should occupy only the space reasonably needed and comply with all posted rules, closures and management directions.
Learners should walk on wet decks, enter only when instructed and keep clear of drains, maintenance equipment and decorative water features. Suitable swimwear and approved teaching aids should be prepared before entering the pool area.
No lifeguard coverage was verified. Security personnel, maintenance staff and nearby residents should not be assumed to provide aquatic supervision.
Outdoor lessons may be affected by lightning, rain, glare, water-quality concerns or maintenance. A session may be paused, adapted, rescheduled or cancelled whenever conditions are unsafe.
Learners with illness, open wounds or symptoms that make swimming inappropriate should not attend. Current public-health guidance and estate rules take priority over a booking.
Private and small-group formats
Private instruction allows explanations, pace and feedback to be tailored to one learner. It may suit cautious beginners, adults rebuilding confidence or swimmers addressing a specific technical issue.
Small groups can provide social encouragement and shared cost when abilities are compatible. They also require adequate usable space, clear turn-taking and estate permission.
Neither format guarantees access or a learning outcome. The final arrangement remains conditional on safe conditions, instructor availability and continuing management approval.
Residents comparing formats can also review small-group swimming lessons in Singapore. A group should be formed around compatible supervision needs and learning goals, not merely around the maximum number that can fit beside the pool.
Requests for a female swimming instructor may be stated in the enquiry. Matching depends on instructor availability, the learner's needs, schedule, estate access and the outcome of the venue assessment; it is not guaranteed.
Scheduling considerations
Residents may request weekday, weekend or selected holiday times, but availability is not guaranteed. Instructor schedules, visitor procedures, maintenance, weather and resident use all affect confirmation.
A quieter period may provide clearer teaching space, although no time can be promised to be empty. Permission should be reconfirmed if a programme resumes after a long break or estate rules change.
Weather and rescheduling terms should be discussed before booking. Safety decisions take priority over completing a scheduled session.
Fees and enquiry information
Fees depend on the lesson format, learner count, programme needs, schedule and travel arrangements. No Vitra-specific price is promised until access and suitability have been reviewed.
For a useful reply, include the learner's age, current ability, goals, preferred days and times, proposed group size and confirmation that the enquiry comes from an authorised resident or occupier.
Please also state whether management has approved an external instructor, whether the swimming pool is currently operational and whether the reported wading pool is available. Mention relevant medical, behavioural or mobility considerations.

Families working towards Singapore's national water-safety programme can read about SwimSafer swimming lessons. A private residential pool may support selected foundation skills, but this page does not claim that Vitra is an approved assessment venue or that every stage requirement can be completed there.

Frequently asked questions
Can swimming lessons be held at Vitra?
Potentially. Two current exact-project sources support a swimming pool, but present operation, estate permission, authorised access and safe conditions must be confirmed.
Does Vitra have a wading pool?
Yes. Current 99.co and PropertyGuru records both list one. Its current condition, depth, layout and permitted use should still be checked onsite.
Was Vitra completed in 2008 or 2009?
Current sources differ. Current 99.co and PropertyGuru use 2009, while SRX and EdgeProp use 2008. This difference does not affect the need to verify today's pool conditions.
Is the swimming pool a particular length?
No dependable reviewed source establishes its dimensions, depth or lane markings.
Can non-residents join a lesson?
Only if current estate rules permit them. An authorised resident should verify guest and instructor registration requirements.
Is a swimming instructor automatically approved?
No. No standing external-coach approval is claimed. Permission should be obtained for the proposed arrangement.
Is a lifeguard present?
No lifeguard coverage was established. Families should not assume one will be available.
What happens during bad weather?
Current safety and estate procedures apply. The session may be paused, adapted, rescheduled or cancelled.
Can the wading pool be used for a young beginner?
Only after the area has been confirmed onsite and management permits instruction there. The directory labels do not establish its depth, gradients, edge design, current operation or suitability for a particular child.
Is there step-free access to the pool?
No continuous step-free route was verified. Residents should check gates, lifts, stairs, deck access and water entry before confirming a lesson for anyone with mobility requirements.
Evidence and publication note
The Vitra identity, address, tenure and 17-home scale were rechecked against current exact-project records on 28 September 2026. Current 99.co identifies completion in January 2009 and lists both a swimming pool and wading pool. PropertyGuru also lists the two pool labels, though portal data may overlap, while EdgeProp reports zero facilities; the source disagreement is deliberately retained.
This guide does not confirm that a lesson has been approved or that either reported pool is presently open. The District 15 and East-region directory routes were live when checked on 28 September 2026. Their links are for navigation, not evidence of Vitra's current facility operation or permission for an outside coach.
